Large group meetings

"They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common¡¦ Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved." Acts 2:42-47

ACM members gather on campus for weekly large group meetings, sharing together in praise, Bible study, and fellowship with brothers and sisters in the Lord. More than just a social event, these meetings are a time for members to grow closer to the Lord and to their spiritual family in Him.

The Bible describes how the early church members "were together and had everything in common. Every day they continued to meet together." ACM wishes to follow the tradition of the early churches. Although students meet in small groups throughout the week, the large group meetings provide an opportunity for relationships to form between groups. With the Gospel as the foundation, our activities are focused on the Lord and on growing together as a spiritual family- uniting members and supporting the development of faith in each person, with mutual encouragement and support for new and old believers.

During Bible study, students listen and talk about the messages, and delve into a deep understanding of how the Gospel of Christ applies to their personal and communal growth. Members learn from one another and foster a warm atmosphere in which newcomers, experienced Christians, and those just curious about faith can ask questions and express themselves. Especially during table fellowship and prayer, members are knitted closer to one another in the love of the Lord through the physical and spiritual food that nourishes our bodies and spirits.

In these gatherings, we are reminded that we do not walk the path of faith alone. Rather, we have fellow brothers and sisters who share in both the struggles and the victories of life. This spiritual family is a great blessing from the Lord and through large group meetings we are strengthened in this family of love. We welcome you to come join us and get to know your brothers and sisters in Christ!

Worship conferences

"Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord." Psalm 150:6

One of the most beautiful ways to worship the Lord is through praise in music and song. ACM organizes worship conferences, large group gatherings where members come together to praise the Lord. We have awesome members who are using their talents to serve the Lord and lead others in worshipping Him. Throughout the conferences, members praise and glorify the Lord with their hearts, singing with their voices and dancing in body worship. At times, people are jumping with the joy of exalting the Lord and other times moved to even tears by the presence of the Holy Spirit. other times moved to even tears by the presence of the Holy Spirit.

Through the songs and prayers, the Holy Spirit moves and opens many hearts to feel the love of the Lord. Through singing, we bring our prayers and praise to the Lord and the Lord pours down His grace upon us. Please join us in our worship conferences and experience the power of worship for God.

Retreats

Through the songs and prayers, the Holy Spirit moves and opens many hearts to feel the love of the Lord. Through singing, we bring our prayers and praise to the Lord and the Lord pours down His grace upon us. Please join us in our worship conferences and experience the power of worship for God.

ACM missions hold several retreats throughout the year, with two major national retreats in the Spring and Summer and one international retreat held in the Winter. Also, ACMs often organize retreats at smaller scale for members to gather by region at a local site. During retreats, members participate in outdoor activities, building team cooperation and getting to know one another as they compete for special prizes (though at the end of the day, everyone comes out a winner!). We also hold a talent show, where members from each region can display the special gifts the Lord has bestowed upon them. In the past, groups have inspired us with beautiful singing, graceful dancing and touching plays, and we are always amazed at the diversity of talents, as well as the time that each group puts in to their performances, all for praising the Lord!

Most of all, retreats are a time to focus on Bible study. Always, the Gospel is the center and foundation of our gatherings, and retreats are a special time when we can concentrate on intense study. Each retreat has a theme and leaders from different regions prepare messages to deeply explore the teachings from the Bible pertaining to that theme. The Lord truly pours down His Spirit and grace during Bible study, touching each person's heart.

One member testified after attending a retreat: "The retreat was very different compared to many other events that I have been to. Spending the whole day to worship the Lord is something very special and graceful. All the brothers and sisters are bound together in the circle of faith, hope and love. We all have different backgrounds and come from different places, but we gather together and share our joys with each other."

We also invite you to join our retreats and experience the love of Christ through all the members!

Student Events

ACM organized many different activities for students on campus and off campus. Some of the events we have held include: outdoor Bible study and picnics, hiking in mountains and forests, sight-seeing and visiting famous local landmarks, weekly basketball and other recreational sports, eating ice cream, and movie nights. Each of these events are designed to involve members in fun activities where they can get to know one another and enjoy fellowship with one another. By spending time with one another, we strengthen the relationships between members and develop the spiritual family.

In ACM, we know how important it is to spend time together, both in Bible study as well as in daily activities. Getting to know one another and form bonds of trust that allow us to be true brothers and sisters in Christ; it means being able to listen to one another, discuss our thoughts, feelings, and experiences, and support one another through struggles, as well as share in the joys. We hope that through these activities, members will develop the relationships of love and trust in the Lord and in one another.

Evangelism

"You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven." Matthew 5:14-16

One of the foremost activities of ACM is evangelism. What is evangelism? Simply put, it is sharing the joy, love, and grace that the Lord has given us with others; it is testifying to the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives; it is calling those who are far away from the Lord and offering them the living water of life. We have been blessed with salvation in the sacrifice and love of Christ. When we truly receive this love, we experience amazing grace and joy in our hearts. This is the most precious gift that we receive, and it is the most precious gift we can give to others.

Christ calls us to be "the light of the world." We are like the ambassadors of Christ, who bring the good news of the Lord to those around us. Especially on college campuses where students focus the majority of their time on vocational studies, we hope to bring to them the gospel of Christ to fill the empty portion of the spirit within university life. The Lord is calling us to go out and be the light for our campuses, spreading the eternal Truth of the Gospel that gives life.

For ACM, we want all students to have the opportunity to study the Bible and know about Christ. Some of the ways we reach out to students include: publicizing our activities with posters; passing out flyers to students to inform them of who we are and what we offer; organizing opening meetings at the beginning of each quarter to introduce our group; and holding daily evangelism events, where we simply go out on campus and invite students to Bible study. In each of these activities, we wish to open each heart to the Lord by sharing how Christ has changed our own lives. College is a critical time when young adults develop their plans, goals, and philosophies about life- a time when they truly need the guidance of the Lord. Through evangelism, we hope to bring all students to know the love of Christ.
